going along

Well, I get to go along on the youth work trip. I was the “backup.” Not anymore. I’m the real deal now. So, not only am I doing laundry for the SportsQueen and gathering the things she needs for the trip, I’m packing for me, too.

I love worktrips. I love our youth. But I was kinda hoping to be “extra” instead of really needed.

We’re going east of Houston almost to Louisiana. We’re doing hurricane recovery work. While I’m panicked about getting everything done (including getting someone else to preach on Sunday), I’m thrilled to be helping those impacted by Rita.

Good thing I was able to get the arthritis meds on Monday, my body is going to need it next week.

One Response to going along

  1. Thanks for coming to help those affected by Rita! There’s still a lot to be done in southeast Texas. Hope you have a good trip.
